Our Facilitation Approach

To us, facilitation is all about ‘making it easy’ to have those conversations that matter, whether between leaders who are not seeing eye-to-eye, or executive teams in the midst of leadership transition or organizational change. Our facilitators prioritize building trust and rapport, employing a variety of interactive techniques to keep energy levels high and maintain focus. What results is deeper insights and more meaningful outcomes.

Our approach is thorough and proven. We always start by seeking context. Through interviews, surveys and dialogue with key stakeholders we determine what is needed — and what approach may work best. We develop our plan for the facilitated session — whether an in-person retreat or remote meeting — based on these inputs. The facilitated process itself can take many forms, but we typically use the one to two-day offsite retreat format to achieve desired outcomes. A follow-up debrief with key leaders ensures there is clarity on next steps.

Strategic Planning Facilitation

Your strategy is your plan for success, creating clarity about how decisions will be made, in alignment with vision and values. Among other tools, ALG uses The Advantage ‘6 Question’ framework, customized for individual clients. Remote and in-person, with teams large and small, ALG has adapted this framework for professional service firms.

Conflict Resolution Facilitation

Disagreements among leaders can hinder progress and damage culture. ALG facilitators guide conversations to ensure productive resolution, creating a safe environment for leaders to share and hear each other's perspectives. Using tailored techniques, ALG enhances communication and fosters mutual respect, enabling leaders to navigate conflicts effectively and find a path forward.
